“We loved Moody's Motel and Cottages! Location, location, location! Views of both the ocean and marsh (where all the birds are). Each room or cottage has different views and they are all good. Comfy king bed, pretty sheets and towels. Super clean and well maintained. Lobster pound almost next door. Beach 100 yards away, if that. Plenty of places to sit outside your room or elsewhere on the property. Third generation owner, Dustin, meets you on arrival (no office) and shows you around and gives you his cell # for if you need anything. Feels like staying with family who don't bother you! Thanks, Dustin!”

“This was the best stay on the coast we've ever had. A very short walk to the beach. The room was larger than most. IT was very nicely decorated. Not your normal white sheets, or your normal white towels.. the owner was very pleasant and gracious., and took care of all our needs quickly. Looking forward to our next visit.”

“Stayed here for one night on my way between Portland and Boston. I loved it here. Dustin the manager is friendly and quick to respond to any questions. He took time to show me the room upon my arrival, give me recs on things to do around the area (the beach is a stone throw away and there’s also a nice wildlife reserve on the other side plus several great restaurants). I can tell that he really wants his guests to have a great stay here. The neighborhood is very pleasant. You’re a short walk away from two beaches (one sandy beach and one rocky beach). There’s also a seafood market basically right next to the place. Other than that, not a lot of restaurants/stores in the immediate neighborhood but it’s a short <5 minute drive to the town of Wells, where there’s a Hannaford supermarket and plenty of things to eat (seafood and non seafood). Bed is very comfortable and there are extra pillows in the drawers. Heat is through a radiator system, and they’re pretty strict about keeping windows closed while the radiator is running (as expected). Despite the walls being a bit thin (older building, also expected), I slept really well. Shower, toilet, and sink all ran well. No issues with hot water and water pressure was great. It’s a half bathroom (at least in my unit) but it was perfect for one person for one night. There’s a mini fridge, microwave, and a keurig machine with plenty of coffee. What’s also nice is just next to the microwave is an area you can place your luggage. It’s quite convenient. Overall I enjoyed my brief stay and will definitely come here again/recommend it to anyone who is visiting/passing through the Southern Maine Coast! Thanks Dustin for a great stay!”

“Very nice, clean place. We rented #12 for two nights. Great stay and awesome location. Sunsets were amazing. Almost can’t get any closer to the ocean. Dustin does it right at Moody’s. He meets you when you arrive, gives you a walk around tour and provides you everything you need to know. Will for sure be back.”

“We were in the area for the Maine coast half marathon and so glad to find this gem in Wells. We stayed in room 15 where you get some beautiful ocean views. It’s a 5 minute drive to anything you need. Dustin the owner showed us around the area and was responsive when we needed anything at all. He takes pride in what he does and it shows through his hospitality. We will be staying here again next time we are in town!”
